Disability Confident: A Progressive Journey

Ig-hr is proud to announce that we are now a Disability Confident Committed employer, reaffirming our dedication to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. The UK Government's Disability Confident scheme empowers organisations to break down barriers for disabled individuals, ensuring equal opportunities and career progression for all. 

More than just a certification, the Disability Confident programme is a continuous commitment to inclusivity. Ig-hr has achieved the first level of the scheme, earning recognition as a Disability Confident Committed employer. By taking this step, we pledge to:

  1. Ensure our recruitment processes are inclusive and accessible.
  2. Transparently communicate and promote available job vacancies.
  3. Offer interviews to qualified disabled applicants.
  4. Make reasonable adjustments to support employees in the workplace.
  5. Provide ongoing support to employees who have or may acquire a disability to help them remain in work.

Progressing through the next levels of the scheme - Disability Confident Employer and Disability Confident Leader - requires meeting stringent criteria that deepen our commitment to workplace inclusivity. 

However, even at this initial stage, we gain access to valuable resources, guidance, and best practices, equipping us to cultivate a truly diverse workforce. More importantly, our certification signals to current and prospective employees, as well as our partners, that we are an inclusive and supportive employer.
